A Celebration of Nature Transformed into Civic Responsibility

On Saturday, March 21, 2026, on the occasion of the International Day of Forests, the Eco Forest Life Association marked a new milestone in the development of the Ineu Community Forest project through a planting activity carried out with enthusiasm and exemplary involvement from corporate partners. The event brought together 123 volunteers from Andreas Stihl Power Tools in Oradea—management, administrative staff, employees, and their families, including children—offering a vivid image of commitment to the environment.

Results of the Planting Activity

Following this initiative, the Ineu Community Forest has been enriched with 0.5 hectares of newly afforested land, adding to a project that continues to expand. The diversity of planted species provides significant ecological and aesthetic value to this new section of the forest:

• Linden (Tilia sp.) – a nectar-producing species with major ecological importance
• Ash (Fraxinus excelsior) – a noble, resilient forest species
• Black walnut (Juglans nigra) – a valuable species with vigorous growth
• Cornelian cherry (Cornus mas) – a native shrub with valuable fruits
• Dog rose (Rosa canina) – an edge species contributing to biodiversity
• Oak (Quercus robur) – a symbol of the durability of Romanian forests
• Hazel (Corylus avellana) – a productive and ecologically valuable shrub
